Il San Pietro di Positano

Il San Pietro di Positano

Among the towns along the Amalfi coast, Positano is considered to be "the pearl". Fabled to have been founded by the god Poseidon, artifacts have been found dating human habitation to the Paleolithic era. In Roman & medieval times, Positano was an important port town of the Amalfi republic. Although a relatively poor fishing village during the first half of the 20th century, it began to attract large numbers of tourists in the 1950s & 60s, becoming a hub for artists, musicians & film stars. In addition to its artistic & architectural wealth, history, traditional festivals, hotels & boutiques, the town boasts a wealth of enviable beaches.

Carved into the cliff overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, Il San Pietro’s rooms are a combination of understated luxury, intricate detail, and unique design.

Il San Pietro is the only hotel in Positano with a direct access to a private beach. The beach is a natural cove surrounded by crystal clear waters, with a solarium, restaurant and bar by the sea. An elevator carved into the cliff will swiftly carry you from the lobby down to this special, heavenly spot.

The refined yacht, Morgan 44 or ‘Joey’, is available for chartering for a half or full day. The ‘Joey’ is the best way to enjoy the beauty of the Amalfi Coast or the gulf of Naples, with all the privacy you need.
