Hotel Savoy Florence

Hotel Savoy Florence

Hotel Savoy is built on the site where the Mercato Vecchio and church of San Tommaso once stood. Work on the hotel started in 1893 and, once completed, it was praised for its modern and luxurious touches - including central heating, an elevator and even electric lights.

Hotel Savoy encompasses everything that’s great about Florence – historical architecture, elegant style and five-star Italian hospitality. The impressive collection of artworks at Hotel Savoy includes significant paintings by Italian artist Luca Pignatelli.

The rooms and suites are elegant yet contemporary, combining Italian design with artworks inspired by Florentine fashion traditions. Director of Design, Olga Polizzi has decorated all of its 88 Florence Rooms in contemporary Italian style with parquet floors, marble and mosaics.

Located in the heart of Florence on Piazza della Repubblica, halfway between Uffizi Gallery and the Duomo, Hotel Savoy is the ideal place to soak up Florentine life. Piazza della Signoria, Ponte Vecchio, Pitti Palace, Hotel Savoy is a short walk from the city's key sights. Discover Italian craftsmanship at the leather school or the Salvatore Ferragamo Museum. Unearth classic treasures at the Leonardo da Vinci Museum. Browse art at the Uffizi and Accademia galleries. Climb Giotto's Bell Tower.
